2007 Dick Sonne’s Racing Team Report:

Two titles and a season full of fun!

Dick Sonne’s Racing recently wrapped up a great year of team racing with a pair of titles and a nice showing in the Team NBL National standings.  Among this years standout performances were a second consecutive New York State Title that came down to a tiebreaker, the team’s first ever Northeast Regional Title and finally a National #7 ranking after the Grands in Louisville, KY.

After a tough start in the State standings, the team was able to battle back, brining itself into contention in the final state race of the year.  The team showed up at the State Championships 5 points behind in the tiebreaker category with a full crew, ready to win.  With a little luck and a lot of hard racing, the teams found themselves amidst a tie breaker.  When the dust settled, it was Dick Sonne’s Racing taking the win with the tie breaker.

Regionally, the team out performed all competitors throughout the entire season.  The team started the season out with back-to-back wins at the first regional event of the year, and never looked back.  The team went on to dominate, winning 6 out of 10 regional events for the year.  This is a title that we hope bring home again in 2008.

Finally this years national team was headed up by a great group of riders that worked together to bring the team into the top 10.  Those riders include:

The team would like to thank all of the riders from the 2007 season for all of their, and their parents hard work in getting them to races.
